Description
In 1998 the group purchased the Weiss rag trade building in Crown St, Surry Hills. The suburb was just about to emerge as a fashionable inner city area and Hayson aptly marketed Valentino’s Apartments on Crown as “The new chic address.” Their advertising embraced the vibrancy of Surry Hills and highlighted the convenience of the location. Marketing also pointed out the change that would come over the suburb and Crown Street once the Eastern Distributor was created, restoring Surry Hills to its former village-like glory by greatly reducing inter-suburb traffic, a fact that attracted the group to this project. The development consists of several retail shops and 24 exclusive New York style loft apartments over three levels.
